Write By The Sea Kilmore Quay Competition 2025
The Write By The Sea Writing Competition 2025 opened for entries on the 8th March 2025. There are cash prizes to be won in each of the following categories (1st - €500; 2nd - €300; 3rd - €200)
- Fiction Short Story (maximum 2,500 words)
- Flash Fiction (maximum 700 words)
- Poetry (maximum 40 lines)
- Memoir/Personal Essay (maximum 1,000 words)
If you have a story to tell, this is a good opportunity to get it out there. Entrants can submit multiple entries at €10 per entry or 3 entries for €25. Each category winner will be invited to read their work at the Write By The Sea Literary Festival that will be held on 26th - 28th September and will also be published in The Waxed Lemon Literary Journal Winter Issue. Closing date is 6th June.
