West End Girl

This break-up album was written and recorded by Lily Allen over 10 days after she split with her husband of four years, actor David Harbour. With accusations of infidelity, she compiled 14 songs over 44 minutes long that tell the story of her heart-break, confusion and agony after her marriage fell apart.

Not only is this album original and thought provoking, the songs are actually quality and well written. It is true that through pain, the best art is created. West End Girl was written from Lily's heart and she has to be admired for her raw honesty that many women around the world can relate to.

If there is a silver lining post divorce, Lily Allen can be proud of this release that is probably her best album in the last 10 years.
